THE COREY ANNE CELEBRATION OF WOMEN IN THE ARTS AT FLORENCE ART SCHOOL

In the summer of 2019 I was invited to provide a keynote speaker performance/talk about my musical journey as part of this celebration. What a sweet pleasure to hear Jennifer Murphy speak so expressivley about her journey as an artist. Her mother Norma Farthing Murphy is also an artist creating unique multi-media pieces. I was privileged to watch Norma grow as an artist from her early pencil sketch days to her current status. She is now known as one of the most imaginative watercolor and mixed-media artists in the High Country. Artists Elizabeth Lauer and Kim Abernethy were also featured artists who spoke about their artistic journeys to an appreciative audience. An exhibition of each artist's work in the Florence Thomas Art School was a beautiful part of this annual event.
